The European Union delegation in Moscow has a programme to promote stronger cultural ties between Russia and the European Union. As part of that programme they have agreed to support a journalism programme that brings together young Russian journalists with other journalists from different parts of Europe in a series of activities and events. The Dublin Summer school programme falls under this programme as an initiative to provide Russian and EU journalists with an opportunity to network, to learn and to practice their journalism on key issues pertinent to the EU. Hearing in the European Parliament on Media Pluralism and freedom in the EU

The Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs in the European Parliament will hold a public hearing on "Media pluralism and freedom in the EU". The hearing will take place on Tuesday, 11 July 2017 from 9.00 - 11.00  in the European Parliament in Brussels, Room József Antall (4Q1). Renate Schroeder, EFJ Director, is invited as a speaker to give a short presentation and to participate in the debate with the Members.
