Andreas is focusing on digitization, digital media, crowd funding and larger financial issues in the “real” and virtual world; interested in all European topics, trying to promote accessibility and supporting Borussia Dortmund.

Candidate Statement

In my last term as Steering Committee member I would – again – volunteer as Honorary Treasurer – with the aim of further consolidating and expanding the financial space and sustainability of the EFJ. Based on the excellent and trustful working relations established with colleagues from EFJ and IFJ.

My second ambition is to deepen and promote digital forms of collaboration between elected officers, secretariat and affiliates in order to have a more regular and cost effective dialogue between all European colleagues. After a continuous expansion of the EFJ in the past three years I believe that we should deepen the mutual solidarity links and assist in the process of capacity building and unionization.

Thirdly I am interested to add force to lobby activities in Brussels and Straßbourg (and Berlin) regarding issues as data retention, protection of sources and authors’ rights.
