The Forum on Freedom of Media and Human Rights is to be held in Thessaloniki in December 17-20.

The forum is organized by the CoE and its local Civic School of Political Studies in Greece SYMΒIOSIS. The topics will include the launching of the Council of Europe Platform on freedom of expression in Greece,  the issue of public media and the state, media regulation, the issue of freedom of the press and its differences from freedom of expression. The questions of how media could be integrated in good governance work and of the imbalance and hostility on diversity and migration issues of media coverage in Greece and in Europe will be addressed too.

The EFJ, as one of the partners in CoE platform, will make a presentation.
