The current debate on the revision of the EU authors’ rights/copyright law raised numerous questions over the way authors get remunerated for the use of their work and the amount consumers are ready to spend to access creative works in the online environment.

On 9 December 2015, the European Commission made proposals for the review of the EU copyright law some of which could have a key impact on authors and consumers.

For the first time in the European Parliament, film directors, journalists, music composers, screenwriters and writers will enter in dialogue with representatives of consumers’ organisations to address some of their core concerns.
