Aims of the event

  • To analyse the results of the November 1st general elections in Turkey and its implications for the EU-Turkey relations.
  • To give a trade unionists and journalists perspective to the elections focusing on press freedom issues.

    To comment the publication of the EU Progress Reports and its impact for the peoples in Turkey

The press conference will be conducted primarily in English and in Turkish (passive).

The event will be followed by a networking drink.

An excellent attendance is expected at the Press Club Brussels-Europe. The audience will be a mix between EU press correspondents, journalists, trade unionists, interested MEPs and EU officials, members of the wider Brussels diplomatic corps and interested parties from the private NGO’s.
