The ETUC have decided to organise a European event for the equal treatment and integration of refugees. The event will take place in Rome on 15 June.

Approximately 250 trade union leaders and militants should take part in the event. A delegation will meet the Italian Prime Minister Renzi (who is proposing that the EU adopt a Migration Compact) and EU Commissioner for Migration and Home Affairs, Dimitris Avramopoulos.

The European Federation of Journalists will be represented at the event by Anna Del Freo, member of the Steering Committee of the EFJ.
