Send a postcard to jailed journalists in Turkey
The European Federation of Journalists (EFJ), the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and the Türkiye Gazeteciler Sendikasi (TGS) have printed postcard with the names of the 158 journalists and media workers currently jailed in Turkey forming the letter G for #Gazeteciliksuçdegildir or #Journalismisnotacrime and they invite you to send a moral support to all the journalists and media workers in jail.
How to do it?
- Get in touch with the union or professional association in your country and ask them to send you the specific postcard or simply print a PDF version available here. You can also use the PSD files 1 and 2 to print these postcards at your printing service.
- Click here to select who you want to send the postcard to and click on “Send her/him a postcard” to see the postal address of the prison.
- Or send the postcard to the TGS. The union will get in touch with the journalist’s relatives or friends and share your message.
The data shows that these journalists spent together more than 80.000 days in jail in Turkey. The objective of the campaign is to bring it to zero. One simple solution to reach this objective : free them all immediately !
