Silent vigil in the pursuit of justice for Daphne Caruana Galizia, six months on

Daphne Caruana Galizia, Malta's most prominent investigative journalist was assassinated on the 16th October 2017 a few meters outside her family home. Daphne worked relentlessly at exposing corruption in top government officials and despite the numerous threats, harassment attacks and 47 libel lawsuits thrown at her she never gave up. 16th April marks 6 months since Daphne's assassination. Malta's loss is also one for Europe and has left a devastating impact on the people's right to know. For this reason we are holding 6 vigils in 6 cities. Please do come along if you are in Brussels.

#SilenceHate Media Camp

The Media Diversity Institute (MDI) is organising a media camp for 30 participants – journalists, audio visual professionals, and NGO and social activists who will exchange best practices and create innovative media products related to countering online hate speech towards migrants. The media camp will be held in London on 23-27 April as part of the project and campaign #SilenceHate. The participants coming from all over Europe will work in teams and as individuals.
