The education department of ETUI, in cooperation with CGT and CC.OO organise a course: “Bogus self-employed” to be held from 13- 15 November 2019 in Brussels, Belgium. This course aims to develop common trade union actions to protect bogus-self-employed workers. Marcelo Ortega, member of the Freelance Expert Group of the EFJ, will attend the course.

The new European Commission is subjected to a variety of challenges in the field of media policy. Strong impetus to strengthen the media is expected in the area of e-commerce as well as in the field of competition law. In all these areas different actors give voice to their individual expectations. In France, the Defender of Rights, a constitutional independent agency, is responsible for guiding and protecting whistleblowers since the creation of a framework of protection by the Law of 9 December 2016 relating to transparency, the fight against corruption and the modernization of the economic life.
