The 5th Annual South East Europe Media Conference, organised by the Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media in co-operation with the OSCE Field Operations in South East Europe, will provide a platform to discuss an array of media freedom issues and holstic approaches to improve the media landscape in the region, including thourgh showcasting best practices. On 23 April the Commission introduced its directive proposal on whistleblower protection.Our platform, WhistleblowerProtection.EU, was launched on 17 October 2016 and we have been working hard to persuade the Commission to bring forward a directive proposal.
