First meeting of the EU Multistakeholder Forum on Disinformation

The EFJ GS Ricardo Gutiérrez will participate on behalf of the European Federation of Journalists in the EU Multistakeholder Forum on Disinformation. The Forum will include representatives of online platforms (Google, Facebook, Twitter, Mozilla, Wikimedia...), the advertising industry and advertisers, which will form a Working Group in charge of drafting a Code of Practice on tackling disinformation, as well as academics, media and civil society organisations (including EFJ, EBU, NME, ACT, EPC, AER, EMMA, ENPA, Poynter, BEUC...) which will be entrusted with an advisory function and act as a Sounding Board for the Forum. ETUC Workshop on collective bargaining for self-employed workers

This activity by the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) will aim at studying a trade union strategy at European and national level towards the limits imposed by restrictive interpretations of competition authorities of the rights of self-employed workers to bargain collectively. EFJ Director Renate Schroeder will participate in the workshop, part of the project "New Trade Union Strategies for New Forms of Employment".

The EFJ GS Ricardo Gutiérrez will meet with a group of 5 media founded by civil society organisations from Serbia: European Western Balkans, Juzne Vesti (News from South), TV Forum Prijepolje, Center for Investigative Journalism of Serbia, Independent Journalist’ Association of Serbia. They are partners of Belgrade Open School, CSO from Belgrade, Serbia, within the project “Civil Society as a Force of Change in Serbia's EU Accession – CS4EU”, funded by the Kingdom of Sweden. Group consists of local and national journalists, who follow different aspects of Serbian EU integration/accession process.
